Small Group Medium Reading

TICKETS

Join psychic medium Nelly Reznik for an evening of communication with your loved ones in Spirit. She will be demonstrating evidential mediumship, which is evidence-based reading in which the medium gives facts and details about individuals who have crossed over before delving into healing messages. Through mediumship, Spirit brings forward comfort and evidence that allow for understanding that our departed loved ones are safe and at peace on the other side, continuing to watch over us.

The energy of group readings tends to be light-hearted and joyful. If you have been curious about mediumship, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience its magic in a safe group environment.

Please be open to whichever spirits show up for you, as we cannot choose who decides to step forward. Spirit has their own agenda, so please come in with an open mind and heart, knowing that both the spirits and the information that come in are in your highest and best interest.

This intimate message circle is limited to 8 participants, so a personalized message is guaranteed for each person during the 2-hour session. If a spirit contact for a participant is not made, Nelly will offer psychic guidance instead with your permission. This does not happen often but is important to know as a possibility ahead of time.

Bio:

Nelly Reznik is a professionally trained and tested psychic medium based in the NYC area. Although she is a natural-born medium and has been able to communicate with Spirit since childhood, it wasn’t until her own experience with loss and grief in her twenties that she began to understand and develop her ability. Her objective as a medium is to provide a voice for the Spirit world, communicating their thoughts with accuracy and specificity. She also teaches courses for empaths and psychics in order to help people understand and hone their own spiritual gifts.

Splendor Solis: "Alchemy and the Image" - with Brian Cotnoir

Splendor Solis, 1530-35 by Salomon Trismosin, is the most magnificent alchemical illuminated manuscript that depicts the Great Work, i.e. the making of the Philosopher’s Stone in 22 enigmatic images.

Over the course of 4 evenings we will open and unpack each of the 22 images and do an initial review and interpretation of the individual image and how it relates to the text and to actual 16th century alchemical practice. We’ll also consider the larger structure of the work, that is, how the images are shaped and grouped as a whole.

This evening will introduce the book, its makers and an overview of 16thcentury alchemy. We will then examine the first four images that depict the basic theories of the alchemical cosmos – the Title Page; and the three images from the two “Treatises” of the book.

The Flicker Effect: An Evening with the Dream Machine

TICKETS

n this 2 hour workshop we will first screen 'FLicKeR': a 2008 documentary featuring interviews with prominent figures from the Beat Movement who had experimented with The Dream Machine. Taking the Dream Machine as the basis of its explorations, FLicKeR asks crucial questions about the nature of art and consciousness, and imagines a humanity liberated to explore its creativity in complete freedom. The Dream Machine is said to offer a drugless high that its creator – poet, artist, calligrapher and mystic Brion Gysin – believed would revolutionize human consciousness.

In the second part we will sit with mystic and ritual leader Dyanna Csaposs for a guided meditation with the Dream Machine and complete an exercise in automatic writing. Please bring a pen and notebook.

*Tickets are limited for this event.

** This workshop may not be safe for viewers with Epilepsy or have a tendency towards seizures.

---

The flicker effect was identified by the famous father of Artificial Intelligence, W. Grey Walter in his best- selling 1953 book The Living Brain. Stroboscopic light, or light flashing on the eye between 8 and 13 flashes per second, induces alpha wave activity in the brain – a state normally associated with dreaming and creativity. Subjects often report seeing shapes and colours, some have full-blown hallucinations, others mystical experiences.

PSYCHIC GYM: Enhance Your Telepathic Abilities with Cat McGuire

TICKETS

This 2-hour class will be very hands-on, and includes 3-5 psychic exercises. Cat will share techniques for how to be psychic and how to give messages. The course will have a generic spiritual element (e.g., opening and closing rituals to protect the space). No prior experience or need to have a "gift" for telepathy is necessary. Seats are limited for this workshop!

WHAT TO BRING

  • Notepad and pen for recording messages and taking class notes
  • A metal object that only you have owned. A watch or jewelry is good, but it could be something as utilitarian as a keychain.
  • A photograph of someone you personally know, either living or passed. Ideally the photo is solely of that person. (Other people in the picture can create "noise.")
  • Optional: Crystal or other type of object to be used in spiritual work and/or be placed on the altar

PRE-CLASS "HOMEWORK"

  1. Write down a question or concern that you would like clarity on. It can be anything from health, to finance, to love life. The more precise and concise the question the better. Write it on a piece of paper -- not a smartphone -- and bring it with you.
  2. To get your juices flowing, anytime 24 hours prior to the class, take about 3 minutes to get silent and focused. Then concentrate on this subject: What will Cat wear to the class? What's her color palette? Will she wear slacks, shorts, or skirt? Blouse or sweater? Any jewelry? Write all your impressions down and bring them to class, including anything else you might have picked up on about her.

PLEASE NOTE

  • You must be on time. In keeping with tradition, no one will be allowed to join the circle once it has been opened and we have started.
  • No food please. Beverages are ok.
  • Cellphones must be shut down during the entire two hours.

Cat McGuire is a professional palm reader who has been reading hands since 1995. As part of her training, she studied formal psychic development with the Holistic Studies Institute as well as private mentoring with master teachers since 1992. She organizes monthly "Psychic Gym" sessions to help people enhance their innate telepathic abilities.

Fundamentals of Elemental Sorcery

TICKETS

Often the first thing fresh-faced young witches and magicians learn about, the Four Elements are truly a foundational part of Western magical traditions, both in terms of theoretical occult philosophy and practical magical activity. But Elemental Sorcery is not simply for beginners, as this class will show.

In this talk, consultant sorcerer Dr Alexander Cummins will take us through just how important the Elements are and how we can use their magic more effectively in our own practices. From examining useful aspects of humoural theory - the dominant pre-modern elemental model used to understand how humans interact with nature underlying the "personality types" of astrology - to exploring four eminently pragmatic spellcraft approaches to balancing our elemental makeup.

We will thus examine works of Fire (candle magic), works of Water (spiritual baths), works of Air (incense and prayer), and works of Earth (constructing charm bags). As such, this class offers something for both those new to magic and those who have been walking the magical path for some time.

Dr Alexander Cummins is a professional diviner, magician, and historian. He can be found and booked atwww.alexandercummins.com, and he curates an online archive of free magical historical texts at grimoiresontape.tumblr.com. He currently resides in Brooklyn with his brilliant wife and their vast expanse of cat.

Introduction to Planetary Magic

TICKETS

Introduction to Planetary Magic

From the skies of ancient Babylon, to the manuscripts of formal medieval angel magic, and even to some modern uses of crystals, the seven classical planets - Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, Mercury, and the Moon - have been an incredibly significant part of European magic for almost as long as records have been kept.

In this class Dr Alexander Cummins, a professional diviner and astrological magician as well as an academically-trained historian, will introduce us to the fundamentals of planetary magic. This will of course include taking us through the practicalities of incense recipes and incantations. But it will also touch on some essential occult philosophy: which planet or planets are best to appeal to for a particular issue? When exactly should I time my magical operation? How can I get the most out of my sorcery?

No previous experience in astrology or planetary magic is required, and the class is designed to be useful to absolute beginners, veteran sorcerers, and everyone in between.

Dr Alexander Cummins is a diviner, consultant sorcerer, and a historian. His work focuses on divination, folk necromancy, and magical books, as well as astrological magic. He is currently based in Brooklyn, and can be found atwww.alexandercummins.com

Sorcery for Tattoos: Occult Philosophy and Magical Practices for Making the Most of Your Tattooing

TICKETS

Tattooing can be a fundamentally magical process. From vision, to collaboration with the ritual artist, to the sitting and the manifestation, to the healing and integrating. But what kind of particular occult philosophy or sorcerous practices might help us make the most of this fundamentally magical process?

In this talk, professional diviner, consultant sorcerer, and historian of magic Dr Alexander Cummins takes us through pre-modern ideas about the intrinsic magic of image making, of glyphs and marks, and of embodiment. Amongst other things, we will explore how divination can help finalise designs; how the use of various incenses, anointing oils, and asperging waters can help ensure a consecrated ritual space; how a variety of astrological timings can be observed to best infuse particular energies and virtues into the process and final piece. And we will of course also discuss the use of sigils, seals, pentacles, and other magical glyphs in tattooing as forms of "inked spell-craft".

So join us for a class dedicated to the magic of tattooing and the tattooing of magic!

The Vessel And The Void: Scrying 101 with Eliza Swann

TICKETS

There are few exercises that can get us into the oracular state as deeply as scrying. Scrying comes from the Old English word descry meaning “to make out dimly” or “to reveal.” Scrying is an auto-deepening trance practice, traditionally achieved by staring into a smooth dark surface. Ancient Egyptians used bowls filled with ink and blood, Aztecs used slabs of obsidian, Ancient Persians used a chalice filled with water, the Celts used darkened brass plates, and many contemporary diviners simply paint a mirror black. During this 90 minute workshop we will learn the history and meaning of the art, and practice scrying together as a group. All participants will be sent home with a scrying vessel, a workbook, and tools and techniques for finding guidance and illumination through the ancient art of staring into the void.

Eliza Swann is an interdisciplinary artist, intuitive, writer, educator, and community organizer based in Los Angeles and New York. Eliza received a BA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute, trained in hypnotherapy at the Isis Centre in England, Hindu cosmology and yoga with Dr. Vagish Shastri in Benares, India, Tarot and Western Magical Practice with the Builders of the Adytum Western Mystery School, Insight Meditation with the Insight Meditation Society, and received a Master’s degree in Fine Art from Central St. Martins in London. Eliza is also the founder of The Golden Dome School, a curatorial and educational platform that studies intersections of art, metaphysics and ecology.
